BFP CSur and Casureco II Partners in Fire Safety

NAGA CITY - "Good public relations, begets good resources" was how Fire Supt. Lorenzo Rellosa, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Camarines Sur chief, describes the partnership forged by the BFP provincial office with the Camarines Sur Electric Cooperative II in the mitigation of electrical fires.

Rellosa said that the BFP in Camarines Sur and CASURECO II forged an agreement last year which centers on educating new members of the cooperative on the aspect of electrical fire prevention.

CASURECO II member applicants are required to attend an electrical safety training which is facilitated by the cooperatives institutional services department and the BFP Camarines Sur provincial office. The pre-membership seminars are held every Mondays and Wednesdays according to Rellosa.

Among the regular speakers in the pre-membership seminar is SF02 Margarita Habana, the BFP Camarines Sur supply accountable noncommissioned officer and fire prevention educator who also handles the Bumbero sa Radyo program aired over DWRB Radyo ng Bayan every Tuesday and Thursday, 10 to 11 am.
