PNPA Applicants Target Of Syndicate

LEGAZPI CITY - Several unscrupulous persons who pose themselves as influential persons in the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been reportedly engaged in mulcting money from applicants who want to study in the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in Silang, Cavite.

This report was confirmed yesterday by P/Supt. Eliciar Bron, PNP regional information officer.

Bron said that the syndicate asks money from PNPA applicants ranging from P7,000 to P10,000 per head.

It was also reported that the syndicate operates in the 3rd district of Camarines Sur (Partido Area).

Bron clarified that it is not easy to get a slot in the PNPA. Aside from the requirement that the applicant must pass the PNP cadet admission test, he should also undergo a rigid examination. Included in the tests are phychological examination, neuro examination, agility test, medical and dental examination and many others.

Bron also said that the passing average in the PNPA admission test is from 25% to 30% only.

In connection with this, Bron warned the public regarding the illegal Qperation of the syndicate.
